James M. Dieter III is the visionary founder, Chairman, and CEO of Principle Health Systems (PHS), a dynamic, multi-vertical healthcare organization launched in 2015 to streamline and elevate patient care across diverse clinical settings. With over 20 years of hands-on experience in healthcare operations, clinical care, and business strategy, James leads PHS with a mission to build scalable, integrated service models that improve patient outcomes and experiences for patients and providers alike.

Under James’ leadership, PHS has grown into a comprehensive medical service ecosystem, encompassing a suite of mobile diagnostics including laboratory testing, imaging, and sonography. PHS delivers high-quality services to a broad network of specialty hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and long-term care organizations—positioning itself as a trusted partner to physicians and practice groups across the United States.

James’ medical and operational expertise is rooted in a uniquely interdisciplinary background. His education includes specialization in Kinesiology – Applied Physiology, Biology, Nursing, and Chiropractic. He holds dual credentials as a Doctor of Chiropractic and a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (MSN), earned magna cum laude. He has completed extensive clinical work and residency rotations in orthopedics, pain management, internal medicine, pediatrics, and emergency care. His early-career clinical roles spanned inpatient hospital coverage, orthopedic surgery, interventional pain procedures, and neurological diagnostics.

James’ entrepreneurial journey began in 2009 with the construction and operation of an ambulatory surgical center. He later founded and scaled three healthcare businesses to profitability in under two years. He has continued to refine his approach through strategic acquisitions, centralized management infrastructure, and vertically integrated service delivery—earning PHS a reputation for rapid scalability, compliance-driven operations, and enhanced provider satisfaction.

Through ongoing organic growth and acquisitions, James and his team remain focused on expanding PHS’s reach while maintaining its commitment to personalized care and operational excellence. His deep-rooted connections to the Texas healthcare landscape, hands-on clinical expertise, and growth-oriented mindset make him a trusted partner for independent laboratories and diagnostic firms exploring strategic divestment opportunities.

A recognized leader in advanced diagnostics, James has presented research at the American Association for Clinical Chemistry and served as a subinvestigator in multiple Phase 3 clinical trials. His work in developing ancillary staffing models—such as cross-trained, full-time diagnostic technicians—paved the way for the formation of PHS, addressing widespread inefficiencies he encountered firsthand as a provider and entrepreneur.

James is a native Texan who has trained and worked in some of the state’s most respected institutions. Outside of his professional endeavors, he is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys skiing, fishing, hunting, and traveling with his family.
