Clinical Notes

A “blood culture” is defined as blood collected from a single venipuncture and inoculated onto blood culture broth. Blood Cultures determine the likely cause of fever and will isolate and identify pathogenic organisms causing bacteremia, septicemia, meningitis, and other systemic and localized infectious diseases. Our bottles are tested for both aerobic and anaerobic microorganisms.
